Official Goverment Reception in Germany Serves Kosher

By , Berlin, Germany

Israel’s President Reuven Rivlin and some 2500 guests participated at the official gala event hosted by Germany’s President Joachim Gauck, commemorating 50 years of diplomatic relations between Germany and Israel.

A concert at the Berliner Philharmonic was followed by a kosher reception. The large-scale event, under the kosher supervision Berlin’s Rabbi Yehuda Teichtel, was prepared by one of the city’s leading kosher caterers.

“The fact that so many people were eating kosher this evening is a blessing and a sign that Am Yisrael Chai!” said the rabbi.

A number of other smaller VIP events related to the occasion were also catered kosher.
