(lubavitch.com) In a first for North Cyprus, Jewish children here worked up a joyful Passover spirit as they rolled up the sleeves and rolled out the dough. Chabad’s popular model matzah bakery was part of a pre-Passover fair, where the kids got to bake their own hand-made matzahs and create individual seder plates.

“Parents were as excited as the children,” Rabbi Chaim Azimov, Chabad representative to the Turkish island told lubavitch.com.

As part of Chabad’s holiday outreach program led by Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, Vice Chairman of Merkos—Chabad’s educational division, Azimov, with the help of Chabad rabbinical students, is preparing to host hundreds at public seders in Kyrenia, Lefkoşa, Famagusta—cities in the Turkish Republic of North Cyprus where Jewish travelers are expected during the holiday.
