Millions Witness Governor Schwarzenegger and Chabad at Menorah

CALIFORNIA--

According to Nielson and Media Clips reports released this
morning, 114 television stations throughout the United States (with
hundreds more throughout the world) ran news stories featuring the Chabad Chanukah Menorah lighting ceremony at the State Capitol on December 19, where Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger joined Chabad rabbis from throughout California in celebration of Chanukah. The story was also featured on radio, on-line and in print worldwide.

An Associated Press photo of the event, featuring Governor Schwarzenegger accepting the Menorah presented to him by Chabad, was rated the AP online “Photo of the Day” on Sunday, December 21, as it was the most viewed and emailed AP photo of that day.

A Nielson audience of 11,211,025 across America watched an estimated 2:04 combined hours of the Menorah lighting and of the Governor dancing with Chabad rabbis to Jewish music on NBC, ABC, CBS, and FOX. This makes for one of the most media-covered Chanukah events in history.
