Kosher Certification Most Sought On Food Labels

LNS

(lubavitch.com) A global products database, (Mintel's Global New Products), reports the Jerusalem Post, found that the kosher label surpassed all other popular claims on food products, including “All Natural” and "No Additives or Preservatives” in 2007.
The study points to the growing popularity of kosher consumption in the United States, a rewarding finding for Chabad-Lubavitch which has been leading kosher awareness drives since the 1970s, when the Lubavitcher Rebbe called for Kosher to be included in his ten-point mitzvah campaign.
According to the report, 3,984 new kosher food products and 728 kosher beverages made their way onto the food shelves of supermarkets around the country this year, contributing to the whopping $10.5 billion spent annually in the U.S., on kosher food items.
