Video: Canadian Rabbis Look Out for Jewish Inmates

Quebec, Canada

The prisons of Quebec are not a hospitable place for Jewish inmates who wind up there. But Rabbi Zushe Silberstein of Montreal makes it his business to reach out to them and help them in any way possible. He and his sons also run a halfway house, otherwise known as a “re-integration” house to help mainstream them once they are released from prison.

In the above video via the The Jerusalem Post, two former inmates talk about their experience with Rabbi Silberstein and his work.
