On Thursday, Aug. 13, Canada’s Minister of National Defence, the Honourable Peter MacKay visited CFB Borden. While viewing the training underway at a mock FOB, (Forward Operating Base) used in Afghanistan, the Minister also met with Captain (Rabbi) Lazer Danzinger, a Torontonian, who was serving there, during the month August, as the first Jewish chaplain in the Naval Reserves since WWII.
