First Israeli Real Estate Trade Fair Held in Moscow

By , Moscow, Russia

( Among the guests joining Chabad of Moscow’s Israeli community for Shabbat services and dinner last Friday night, were a group of Israeli realtors, bankers and lawyers who had come to participate in the city’s first real estate fair.

Representatives from over a dozen top Israeli realty developers, Israel Discount Bank and a leading Israeli law firm participated in last week’s two day fair.

Mr. Stanislav Zingle of Gordon Rock and Rabbi Yakov Fridman – President of IMBC (Israel Moscow Business Club)  invited the participants of the fair to a closing dinner held in the Bolshaya Bronaya Synagogue.

“This is the first of many future projects of IMBC,” Fridman told The objective of IMBC, he explained, “is to create a Jewish environment for business people from Israel and elsewhere who come to Moscow.”

This particular fair, at which notable Israeli developers, among them Azorim, Bet Yair, Yosi Avrami and Cesarea participated, explains Rabbi Fridman, encouraged Russia’s Jews to consider buying property in Israel.

Hosted at a local Holiday Inn, the fair attracted over 500 locals and foreign residents who explored projects in Jerusalem and other major cities in Israel, while obtaining advice from mortgage bankers and lawyers represented by the Israeli law firm of David Zaira.

Gratified by the success of the fair, Mr. Zingle said it “opened a door of unlimited potential for Israeli developers in the Russian market.”

Rabbi Fridman gauged the success of the event differently. “It is always a wonderful achievement when Jewish people connect with each other, when they take a break from their business to celebrate Shabbat together over Kiddush and take time to reflect on their spiritual connection.”
