Ep. 5: Treating And Saving Jewish Drug Users

In Episode 5 of Lamplighters: Stories From Chabad Emissaries On The Jewish Frontier, Rabbi Mordechai Abraham, Chabad shliach to Johannesburg, tells the story of how he found his “niche” finding and treating drug users in South Africa. Reporter Gary Waleik is also joined by a man Rabbi Abraham helped in his recovery. The “Addicts’ Rabbi” has been helping people struggling with addiction for almost three decades.

Lamplighters: Stories From Chabad Emissaries On The Jewish Frontier is producing a series of moving, beautifully produced, sound-rich and often surprising stories of Chabad emissaries and the people they inspire in every corner of the world.
