Ep. 39: Five Aussies’ Journeys To Jewish Observance

In Episode 39 of Lamplighters: Stories From Chabad Emissaries On The Jewish Frontier, reporter/producer Gary Waleik presents the story of a group of “The Meshugenas,” five men who met in Perth, Australia when they were younger and were inspired to Jewish observance during and after college by Chabad emissaries there. Their paths wound through Yeshiva and to career and family. They keep in touch via a WhatsApp group that keeps them connected despite geographical and philosophical differences.

Lamplighters: Stories From Chabad Emissaries On The Jewish Frontier is producing a series of moving, beautifully produced, sound-rich and often surprising stories of Chabad shluchim and the people they inspire in every corner of the world.
