Yahrzeit of Rebbetzin to be Marked

LUBAVITCH HEADQUARTERS, NY

This is one of the busiest weeks of the year at Lubavitch World Headquarters. Some 1600 women—most of them in leadership positions in their respective communities—have arrived here for the annual International Conference of Shluchos. The five day conference convenes on Thursday, February 12 and honors the memory of Rebbetzin Chaya Moussia Schneerson, whose yahrzeit is 22 Shevat–this year, Saturday, February 14.

Rebbetzin Chaya Moussia, wife of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, of righteous memory, was also the daughter of the sixth Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Joseph I. Schneersohn. Thousands of girls in the worldwide Chabad-Lubavitch community are named for the Rebbetzin, who passed away in 1988.
