Scholarship Raffle Cruise for Chabad of the Valley

ENCINO, CA

On this ship, everyone is a captain.

Chabad of the Valley’s annual cruise in support of summer camp scholarships for Jewish children, set sail Monday night. The cruise around Marina Del Ray, featured food, music, the blowing of the shofar, and entertainment by the popular Chasidic singer, Avraham Fried.

The highlight of the evening was the drawing of the $10,000 cash prize.

Anyone who bought a book of 10 raffle tickets at $100 each, automatically became a ‘captain’ and was invited to the cruise.

According to Rabbi Joshua Gordon, Director, it’s an event that gives everyone a chance to help support Chabad’s childrens program, while “having a wonderful evening at the same time.”
