Israel’s Sephardic Chief Rabbi Visits Chabad Institutions in Chicago

Chicago, IL

(lubavitch.com) Visiting Chicago last Monday to participate at a building dedication ceremony for the Ohel Shalom Torah Center, Rabbi Shlomo Amar, the Sephardic Chief Rabbi of Israel took time to visit the Lubavitch Girls High School, and the Lubavitch Mesivta of Chicago. The Rabbi then met with Chabad emissaries at the Regional Headquarters of Lubavitch Chabad of Illinois.

Addressing the students at the Lubavitch Girls High School, Rabbi Amar referred to the girls as “ambassadors” of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, reminding them to wear their title proudly and with dignity.

Rabbi Daniel Moscowitz, Director of Lubavitch Chabad in Illinois, presented Rabbi Amar with a personal souvenir: a documentary of the Sixth Lubavitcher Rebbe’s visit to Chicago.
