Free To Be Jewish . . . Or Free to Assimilate?

TorahCafe Chanukah Webcast Sunday, December 5

New York

Exactly a year to the day since Britian’s Supreme Court overrode Jewish religious law in determining Jewish identity, questions about Jewish identity loom large.

Do Jews need to be under threat to preserve their identity? In this age of widespread assimilation, what is American Jewish leadership doing to ensure Jewish continuity? How is anti-semitism and anti-Israel sentiment affecting a young generation? What relevant messages do we take from Chanukah?

These are some of the questions that Harvard Professor Alan Dershowitz entertains this Sunday, in a webcast by TorahCafe.com.

Dershowitz makes a passionate call for Jewish pride and Jewish identity in an interview with Mrs. Baila Olidort, Editor-in-Chief of Lubavitch News Service/lubavitch.com. He is joined by Mr. Malcolm Hoenlein, Chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major Jewish Organizations, and by Yitzchok Schochet, Rabbi of the Mill Hill Synagogue in London, UK.

The webcast will be aired at 2:30 p.m. EST. To learn more, go to Torahcafe.com
