Chabad Representative to Cracow At Auschwitz-Birkenau

Auschwitz-Birkenau

Monday, January 27, European leaders and religious representatives marked 63 years since the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau. The day was established by the United Nations in commemoration of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau by the advancing Soviet Red Army on January 27, 1945.

Chabad representative to Cracow, Poland, Rabbi Eliezer Gurary, joined members of the European Parliament and the Israeli Knesset at Auschwitz-Birkenau. Rabbi Gurary represented the Jewish community, and recited Kel Moleh Rachamim after the mourner's Kaddish was said.
