Chabad-Lubavitch Issues Statement on Mumbai

Chabad Lubavitch World Headquarters

On behalf of Lubavitch World Headquarters, Rabbi Yehuda Krinsky released the following statement today through lubavitch.com.

"Since the terrorist onslaught in Mumbai, India, last November, when Chabad representatives Rabbi Gabi and Rivki Holtzberg were brutally murderd, the Government of India, including its consulates and embassies in New York and Israel, have been entirely supportive of our efforts to rebuild Chabad in Mumbai.

"Indeed, as our initiatives and efforts continue day by day on behalf of Chabad in Mumbai and for the benefit of the Jewish life that it continues to serve uninterruptedly, we are pleased to say that the cooperation of the Government of India has always been forthcoming."
