Chabad-Lubavitch in California Fire Relief Effort

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA

Chabad-Lubavitch on the West Coast is on scene and on hand to help victims of the fires now blazing in southern California, even as some of their own centers suffer damage.

With some 190 centers spread across the state, Chabad Lubavitch is able to
offer emergency counseling, clothing, furniture and immediate relief to
those who are affected by the fires through the following locations:
Scripps ranch: (858) 566-1996, S. Diego county: (619) 265-7700, Temecula:
(909) 303-9576, Poway: (858) 451-0455, Rancho Cucamonga: (909) 949-4553,
Simi valley: (805) 577-0573, Thousand Oaks: (805) 493-7776, Chatsworth:
(818) 341-9686, Oxnard: (805) 382-4770, Camarillo: (805) 383-7882, and
Westlake Village: (805) 374-8666.

“Our leafy suburb [Scripps Ranch] has leapt to the headlines of newspapers
around the world, with hundreds of families — among them several dear
friends of ours — left homeless. Ours is the only school and apparently one
of the only houses of worship in San Diego County to be destroyed,” says
Rabbi Yonah Fradkin, director of Chabad in S. Diego County.

According to the state Office of Emergency Services, the California
wildfires have consumed nearly 660,000 acres and destroyed more than 2,400
homes with damage estimates exceeding $2 billion.

As the devastating fires scorching Southern California continue to rage,
Chabad Lubavitch has set up temporary “drop off” centers for donations of clothing, furniture, children’s Books and toys at five of its locations: Mission Viejo: (949) 770-1270, Los Alamitos: (562) 430-2729, Westchester: (310) 417-8500, Los Angeles: (310) 208-7511, Pacific Palisades: (310) 454-7783.
