A Sweet Beginning for Ukraine’s Senior Citizens

Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine

Chabad of Dnepropetrovsk together with its president, Gennady Bogoliubov are bringing the new year in for the city’s senior citizens on a sweet note. They’re sending 6,000 seniors food packages in honor of Rosh Hashanah. The packages will include food staples, with some special holiday additions such as honey, chocolate, and kosher sausages. Included in each parcel is a prayer guide for the High Holidays and a message from the city's Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki and Mr. Bogoliubov. The pair wishes the community a “good and sweet new year,” despite the global difficulties and economic concerns.
